Space Coast Runners is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2026-2027 SCR Youth Series presented by DC Roofing. Designed to introduce children to the joy of running in a fun, non-competitive environment, the six-race series is completely free for children ages 12 and under and kicks off Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Viera Middle School.
New this season, all races will be held at one central location – Viera Middle School’s track – making it easier than ever for families across Brevard County to participate. Races begin at 9:00 AM, with warm-ups starting at 8:50 AM. Parents are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 AM to check in at the SCR tent and pick up their child’s race bib.
“We’re excited to bring the SCR Youth Series back for another season and to welcome DC Roofing as our presenting sponsor,” said Lisa Helm, Youth Series Coordinator. “This series is truly one of the most rewarding programs we offer. Watching kids cross that finish line with a huge smile on their face is what it’s all about.”
